La Ribera

Although I can now skip on and off the metro like a local, the ticketing system for using the Barcelona Card at the Picasso Museum had me going around in circles.  It was worth the effort though, I loved the collection, particularly the early works with which I was unfamiliar.  What an incredible talent from very early teens.  It's a fabulous district to wander about, full of interesting alleyways and tempting foods.  I had a very civilised sangria and chicken salad, listening to a busking violinist, outside the Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar.  Superb.
