Dinner at The Ritz - 3 October
Well it was just grand. I decided to walk the 1.5km there, if only to help fill in time until the 9pm reservation. Still can't get used to these hours. The setting and service were superb. I had intended having the tasting menu but could not contemplate at least three of the dishes. The menu allows for half serve for a number of entrees and mains, so in effect you can choose your own tasting menu. I opted for Seafood Croquettes (nice, not great, but silly big portion of 10. I left two), Suckling Pig (superb!) and something something apple something dessert (lovely). Excellent Cava and wonderful dry Rose to wash it all down. Thank you Kevin and Joan for introducing me to the wonders of a dry, dry rose. One photo is of a large, empty table on the poor folk's area below. Everyone rocked in at 11pm. I do not know how they do it.
I loved the experience, it was a great choice for a posh farewell dinner. Gracias. And I walked home, hence the street sweeper statue pic, which I found amusing. I'm looking forward to being home, if not the journey.

people had a nap in the afternoon. As we know you can stay up later after an afternoon’s sleep.
All the courses in your meal sounded beautiful. Nothing like a descent feed and a nice glass of something
refreshing to make you feel good.
Keep those beautiful photos and news coming, as I really enjoy reading about your adventures. Even though sometimes
I think that perhaps they might be a little TOO adventurous. But then I tell myself that all this risk taking behaviour is just
part of being a teenager!
Cheers John 😎
